Are you registered?
Yes! Sweeties by Dan operates from a kitchen registered with the Hamilton City Council. We operate with the utmost cleanliness & care.
Do you cater to dietary requirements?
Not at this stage. We appreciate the feedback and understand this is a growing demand. In the meantime, Sweeties by Dan has lots of cake friends that can be recommended for most dietary requirements! Just ask!
All sweet treats contain gluten, wheat, dairy (milk/milk products) and eggs. Sweeties by Dan also makes Macarons containing almonds and uses confectionary containing peanuts and tree nuts. As treats are made in our home kitchen, traces of tree nuts, peanuts, sesame and soy may also be present.
We strongly encourage any allergies to be disclosed upon initial contact.
How do I transport my cake?
Great question! Place your cake box on the passanger floor in the front seat. This is the safest place for your cake. In summer/spring months, turn aircon on cold before picking up cake to ensure it is transported in a cool environment. If travelling for a long distance, place the cake box on top of a towel or piece of non slip mat to keep the box still.
Do you deliver?
Sweeties by Dan offers free local delivery within Hamilton & some surrounding cities on all orders over $100. Local delivery for orders less than $100 is available at an additional cost.
Local delivery is carried out by Dan and her loved ones to ensure the goods are transported with utmost care.
Nationwide shipping is currently only available for fondant stamped cookies. These are packaged carefully however this option is at your own risk. Sweeties by Dan will not accept any responsibility for goods damaged in transit via courier.
When do I need to pay for my order?
Online "Click & Collect" orders are paid via credit/debit card instantly. To confirm a custom booking, a 50% deposit is required + the itemised cost of any florals or cake toppers being ordered. The balance of your order must then be paid at least 7 days prior to your pick up/delivery date. Please see our terms and conditions page re refunds & cancellation policies.
Can I supply my own alcohol bottles to put on my cake?
Yes! By law, Sweeties by Dan can not purchase ANY alcohol as decorations for a cake as we do not hold a liquor license. You can provide alcohol decor that you have purchased yourself, however Sweeties by Dan will request confirmation of this in writing via email.

Are the cakes fresh?
Absolutely! Everything is baked in house 24 hours prior to your pick up. We personally don't believe in freezing cakes.
